Positive, Permanent Shutoff When the blank end of the spectacle plate is clamped in position, product cannot leak to the downstream side of the line.

Fast, One-Person Operation Only one person is needed to operate most Hamer line blind valves. Blinding only takes a few minutes with an operating bar and substantially reduces operating time and cost. Other methods generally take two to four pipefitters (depending on pipe size) and 30 to 45 minutes for blinding a line.
